Ananta Khanal, M. Phil
Lecturer
Mr Khanal is an educational enthusiast working in this field with his pursuit of serving the nation with his career as a teacher, writer and researcher. Ever since he graduated from TU, he has already been working for more than ten years in different educational institutions of the Kathmandu valley.
Biography
He was born in a western village of Palpa and has currently made Bhirahawa, Rupendehi as his permanent hometown. Later with the dream of obtaining higher education in the capital, he enrolled and completed his Bachelor’s Degree from Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus, Kathmandu in 2006. In 2008, he post-graduated in English from Central Department of English (Master’s Degree in English in Humanities) TU, Kirtipur, Kathmandu. To attain a multidisciplinary course of Master of Philosophy (M Phil.), he joined IACER, Pokhara University and waiting for his dissertation to be defended.
As a professional teacher, he started his career as a Primary Level English and Social Studies teacher in 2059. He has only started teaching in a college and university level after his Master’s degree. He worked for Himalayan WhiteHouse International College, DAV College and Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSoM) and currently he is working as a faculty of English in both, Global College of Management and Global School of Science. Ever since he received IELTS teacher’s training from the British Council and from the IDP, he has been teaching IELTS as a professional teacher in TSOL. Cambridge Advanced English (CAE) is what he taught at Kathmandu University (KUSoM) and started teaching PTE and TOEFL with the training he received for both tests preparation.
He is keen on reading and writing. He is found busy in playing football if he gets a chance. His one of the best choices in reading is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. When he gets free time with his friends, travelling to new places always comes as his first preference.
He is much fascinated and motivated by his father and mother’s life journey and struggle for which he complements as his life objectives. He has a wife and a son
