Sarika Bist

Ms. Bist is a well established Economics lecturer in Nepal. She acquired academic studies from Nepal, India, Belgium and Germany. She has been engaged in the academia since 2004. During this long academic journey, she got opportunity to serve at various educational institutions of Kathmandu, Nepal and she has proven herself as an excellent lecturer of Economics.

 

Biography

Sarika Bist is a permanent resident of Ramgram municipality-15, Shukrauli, Nawal Parasi. She is currently residing in Dhapasi, Tokha municipality-6, Kathmandu. She graduated from Pawan Secondary School Parasi, Nawal Parasi, with a School Leaving Certificate. After high school, she moved to Mussoorie, India for higher education, where she completed Intermediate level to Master in Economics in first division. 

Ms. Bist was always keen to serve the nation; therefore she returned to Nepal and joined academic institution as a lecturer back in 2004. In 2005, she received Erasmus Mundus Scholarship to acquire further education in Rural Development. This was a joint program between Ghent University, Belgium and Humboldt University, Germany. It was a fantastic opportunity not just to obtain M.Sc. in Rural Development, but also to gain worldwide exposure.

 

She and her family emigrated from Europe in 2009. She returned to academic institutions and continued her career as an educator. She is currently working at Uniglobe College in Kamaladi and Global College of Management, Baneshwar. She got the best teacher award from both institutions for her hard work and dedication. With a gorgeous daughter and a son, she and her husband are enjoying their family life.
