Global College of Management organized a farewell program to bid good bye to its batch students who are graduating in 2079. Attended by the College Board members, principal, program director, HODs, staff, faculty and new and graduating batches of students was chaired by former governor Dr. Tilak Rawal who is the chairman of the college. GCM invited Prof Dr. Dilli Raj Sharma as the chief guest to the program.   Farewell as the mega event of GCM, was celebrated in the blend of formal, informal and recreational performances all dedicated by the students representing new and old batches 2077 and 2079 cohorts in row. 

 

The first session of the program consisted of welcoming the guest dignitaries, formal seat taking, and inauguration by lighting the lamp by the chief guest and the people on dice. The inauguration was followed by national anthem, welcome dance performed by a team of new students, welcome speech delivered by a student representing the new batch-2078 and farewell speech by a graduating batch-2077 of the GCM. The college did felicitate the faculty members selected for their teaching excellence and the students for their achievements in NEB exams and other titles such as the best disciplined student, supportive student, best presenter, speaker and many more in 10 different genres. 

 

5 faculty members Mr. Bhabes Kumar Labh from the Department of English, Mr. Mani Ratna Lamsal from the Department of Economics, Dr. Narayan Prasad Chudal from Department of English and Ms. Sarika Bits from the Department of Economics where awarded with Teaching Excellence Award in recognition of their Excellent Teaching Performance appraised in the academic session 2019/2020 and 10 students  Ms. Aakriti Manandhar, Ms. Asmita Timalsina, Mr. Mr. Bishwash Adhikari, Mr. Kishor Malla, Mr. Nischal Bhandari, Mr. Reena Mahat, Mr. Rosika Dangi, Mr. Prajwal Bikaram Thapa, Mr. Saurab Joshi, Ms. Shreeya Paudyal were selected for felicitation in recognition of their outstanding performance in recognition of their outstanding performance in the academic pursuit, extra-curricular activities, punctuality, discipline, and class performance respectively appraised in Grade XII in the academic year 2078. The selected performers were honored with Awards, Khada and Cash Prizes for their titles handed over jointly by the chief guest Prof. Sharma and the chairman Dr. Rawal, also with the Board Members in presence of Amba Datt Joshi, principal and Shankar Pyakurel, the program director. Mr. Prajwal Bikram Thapa and Ms. Rosika Dangi were awarded “The Best Student of the Year-2078” among the top ten students in the year 2078. Similarly, Ms. Prakriti Subedi had received “Certificate of GCM Academic Excellence Award” for being the college topper in National Examination Board examination of Grade-XII with 3.84 GPA in the academic year 2021 and Ms. Prakriti Shrestha was also honored with “Certificate of GCM Academic Excellence Award” for being the college topper in NEB examination of +2 level with 3.96 CGPA in the academic year 2020.

 

Chief Guest to the program Prof. Dr. Dilli Raj Sharma giving insights on what next after graduating the secondary school education in Management, also highlighted the necessities of management etiquettes that the students will be required to enhance. Prof Sharma advised students to try their best in future studies to enhance 21st-century skills such as leadership, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, confidence, and moral values required to each in order to cope with the economic challenges and also to efficiently and effectively manage their business and jobs in career life given the fact that, as he asserted, GCM as a nationally renowned college for management must have inculcated the necessary foundations of management skills in each student graduating every year.  

 

The program was auditioned by approximately 1800 people that included the new and graduating students, faculty and guest dignitaries, and media personnel invited to take pleasure of stage performances contributed from the students.
